Hasegawa Crusader Mk.III

Hasegawa have a nice range of 1/72 scale armour all of which are marred by one thing: their tracks are crap. While the majority of the new releases from other manufacturers in this scale have link and length tracks - and Esci/Ertl had 'em years ago - Hasegawa insist on giving us thick rubber bands that look more like picket fences from an N scale railroad layout than an AFV's tracks.
Given the quality of the kits that are coming out of Revell Germany and the former eastern bloc countries, Hasegawa really needs to get this together if they want to stay competitive.
Other than that though, these kits are quite nice - second to Revell I would say, but being superseded fast by the likes of UM, Mirage and PST.

Nothing special about this really. I replaced the headlight guards and the handles on the external fuel tank with brass rod and drilled out the ends of the guns as usual. Antennas are stretched sprue.
If only that damned N scale suburban family wouldn't keep putting up patio lanterns and having barbecues behind the tracks....
