Revell 1/72 Warrior MCV Review

Another great little AFV kit from Revell Germany and it's nice to see more British stuff from them. Not much to say really; the detail and moulding is on par with all of Revell's recent releases and at £4.99, you really can't grumble too much. Some do however, at the lack of figures and open hatches in Revell kits, but as I don't like to display my models with 'orrible little men in them and open hatches would necessitate building some kind of interior I have no problem with their exclusion. The turret hatches are seperate in this kit and there is detail on the inside of them, but nothing in the turret so it's up to you whether you want them open or not.
My only complaint is the turret bustle racks are moulded solid with a mesh pattern on them and just don't cut the mustard, but there's really no other way they can be done in an injection moulded kit short of including etched parts. No doubt PART or the like will (or already do) have an etched set out for this kit that will address the problem.

Click like a bunny:

There is a fairly flat axe (least, I think it's an axe!) moulded to the hull but this time the shovel is seperate and very well done as opposed to the one in the Cromwell kit. Hopefully Revell will continue the trend of seperate tools as the relief moulded ones just don't look as good.
Two decal options are offered. Option one is for a vehicle from 1 BN / Grenadier Guards in 1988. This is in 'olive grey' (whatever that is) and anthracite grey - which I assume is black because Revell always specifies this colour for things that should be black.
The second option (pictured on the box) is for a machine from the British Army Training Unit Suffield during the 1996 'Medicine Man' exercise in (and I quote) "Kanada". Riiiight..... Gee Revell, remind me to compliment you on your geographical awareness and/or spelling abilities next time I'm in Jermany.....
