My first complete, start-to-finish YouTube build, which may
be seen here.
As an experiment (and because I was too lazy to take pics), these are screen
shots from the video. Not the best option, and at some point I will probably
replace them with better quality pictures. |

Mark 1's Buffalo is a limited run, 2-in-1 kit which is really
quite nice, despite the Lilliputian size. There are two US Navy and two
Finnish decal options, I decided to do one of each. Though they went together
easily and quite quickly, the amount of masking and painting on the two
very different (and very tiny!) schemes resulted in these taking longer to finish than I had anticipated at the start. |

Kit decals were used. They looked nice, but were prone to
breaking and were completely resistant to any of the decal solvents I tried. |

Canopy and ventral window frames were rather heavy so I sanded
these off, polished the clear parts and finished them off with a bath in
Pledge (Future) which improved them greatly. Frames were reinstated with
masking and painting and by thin painted decal strips. Antenna lines are
Uschi "Fine Size" rigging. Paints are from Tamiya, ModelMaster
and Humbrol. |
